Hi, I am Chef Anna and welcome to Simmer and Sear! I offer a whole new approach to cooking. Rather than just focus on instruction, I share the best methods - from picking the right ingredients to the secrets of making that special dish with extraordinary flavors. My classes are designed to fit your needs and are great for corporate team building events, special celebrations (baby and bridal showers, bachelorette parties, birthdays, etc...) or just a special night out with friends.
Unlike other cooking schools Simmer and Sear offers over 30 exclusive venues to choose from.
These spaces are only available to Simmer and Sear and I would like to share them with you!
I match each venue with the personality and size of your group to truly make your event special.
I also offer open registration classes for themed cooking events such as foods
from a specific regions, singles classes and corporate networking.
Kids classes are available during the summer where I bring all the ingredients
to you and teach your children in your own kitchen.
*Corporate Team Building Events~ Iron chef competitions are where it's at! Take the team work out of the conference room and into the kitchen! I bring in top notch guest chefs to offer assistance and to be the judging panel just like "Top Chef" on the Food Network Channel. Get the creative juices flowing and have fun while doing so. Not to mention eating, drinking, music and just an overall unique experience.
*Private Special Occasion Cooking Events~ Why just go out for an ordinary dinner on such a special occasion? Bring it up another level....bring all your friends together in an exclusive private location, casually prepare an amazing meal with your friends, drink wine, listen to music, socialize and sit down to a meal made by you, your friends and a local chef. All you bring is the wine, yourself, your friends and simmer and sear will give you a night to remember!
*Baby Shower coming up?~Why not do something unique for the Mother-to-be? Throw her a cooking event baby shower! Don't do the standard typical sit around playing games and oooo'ing and ahhh'ing over baby clothes. Get a hands-on cooking lesson/party and a great sit down meal at the end. Then socialize and open those baby gifts and eat cake!

Think of it as a two for one, she gets an awesome fun cooking party with her all her closest friends and you are also giving the groom something....a cooking lesson for his new bride! After you sit down and enjoy the meal you can relax, open bridal shower gifts and eat dessert!

How it works:

on size of class, date requested and appropriate atmosphere.

~Request something special like foods from specific regions, unique cooking styles or select from my menu page which features over 60 specialties.
I offer other unique services you can add to your cooking event:
*wine pairing
*live music(dj,piano,singer,guitar,etc)
*chocolate tastings
*specialty cheese course
*butcher skills
and much more!
~All classes are hands-on and everyone
enjoys their prepared dishes at a sit-down meal together.
~I will take photos of the event and have recipes ready for everyone to take home.

Disclosures: Please do remember that the kitchen rental deposit will need to be paid up front and I do ask that the remainder of the balance price per head be paid no later than one week prior to the event date. Once you have made the kitchen deposit it will be non-refundable due to the fact that I pay my kitchen rental owners to reserve the rental for the night. If you need to cancel the entire event for some reason, I do ask that you cancel the entire event no later than 4 days prior to the event date to get a full refund.
